This section describes the status ﬂags used in output ﬁles and their inﬂuence on irradiance calculation.

In general the following applies to status ﬂags:

• a status ﬂag value of 0 indicates no error or successful

• higher numbers indicate increasing severity

• a non-zero status ﬂag does not always mean that calculations are stopped. For example, the radiometer temperature status ﬂag

is a warning and does not inﬂuence the calculation of irradiances.

• status ﬂags that indicate no processing was done, such as not calculated, occur in case prerequisites were not successful. For

example, when the sun is below the horizon, it does not make sense to calculate the correction factor and therefore determine

the ozone value. In this case the chi ﬂag and ozone ﬂag will be set to not calculated.

20.1 Program Status Flag

The program status ﬂag indicates general program status.

20.2 Radiometer Oﬀset Status Flag

The oset status ﬂag indicates the status of the radiometer oset voltage calculation.

20.3 Radiometer Certiﬁcate Status Flag

The radiometer certiﬁcate status ﬂag indicates the status of the digital instrument calibration certiﬁcate the program used

for calculations.
